SURGICAL PLANNING

WatchTower Spine Navigation operates using preoperative CT images to support intraoperative guidance and visualization. The system allows users to reference 3D anatomical structures from the CT dataset and make pre-operative and intraoperative adjustments to screw trajectory and depth. This workflow is designed to integrate seamlessly into the surgical environment, eliminating the need for intraoperative CT and requiring minimal setup, thereby providing a consistent reference point throughout the procedure.

2D to 3D – X-ray Registration

WatchTower Spine Navigation supports registration using a preoperative CT scan and two 2D fluoroscopic images from a standard C-arm. This workflow enables navigation without intraoperative CT, utilizing existing imaging modalities to establish spatial correlation. The system aligns the 2D images with the CT dataset to provide real-time instrument guidance in relation to the patient’s anatomy.
